Oct 15th JULIAN MASON:
Professional Practice Talk 10.00am - 12.00pm. Julian is dedicated to
communicating his love of the landscape through his beautiful
atmospheric paintings. This is open to all and will be followed by the
AGM. It is important that all attend this meetina as new committee
members will be elected.
|March 18th ROBERT BRINDLEY: Watercolour Demonstration 10.00 - 12.00pm followed by members own workshop until 4.00pm. Robert specialises in capturing th.e light in landscapes and coastal scenery.|
Wed 26th Oct PRESIDENTS SOCIAL EVENING AND PRIZE GIVING from 7.00- 10.30pm at All Saints Church Hall. There will be supper and raffle. Members are to provide their own beverages
|April 15th NICKI DENNETT: Print Workshop, 10.00 - 4.00pm. This follows on from a very successful workshop last year. Nicki will demonstrate how she transforms her sketches of scenes from life into distinctive handmade prints|
|Nov 19th JENNY AITKEN: Oil Demonstration, 10.00 - 12.00pm This is open to all and will be followed by members workshop untiI4.00pm. Though Jenny lives in Derbyshire her paintings are strongly influenced by her love of the sea.||
May 20th JOHN TOOKEY: Watercolour/Pastel
Demonstration 10.00am - 4.00pm. This will be open to members only. A one
hour's demo will be followed by a workshop and further demos. John's
dynamic and impressionistic style in pastel, watercolour or both have
both freshness and spontaneity.
Dec 3rd CHRISTMAS LUNCH AND
RAFFLE, BAKEWELL GOLF CLUB. This year meet at 1.00 for 1.30pm.
June 17th HARRY McARDLE: 10.00am -
4.00pm. Harry will work along with members and help with comments on
their own work. Harry's own work is of wonderfully rich landscapes of
|Jan 21st HAIDEE-JO SUMMERS: Oil/Acrylics Demonstration, 10.00 - 12.00pm. Open to all and followed by members own workshop until 4.00pm. Haidee's passion for the outdoors is evident in her impressionistic plein-air paintings||July: an outside visit is to be arranged.|
Feb 18th LES DARLOW: Pastel
Demonstration, 10.30 - 12.30pm. Open to all and followed by members own
workshop until 4.00pm. Les is passionate about demonstrating his pastel
techniques to reflect his fascination for extremes of weather - a beautiful sunset or a storm and changes in the light
Prior to each workshop members
will be informed of suggested materials and theme for the day.
It is hoped that a number of plein-air painting days will be arranged for members and an exhibition visit.
The open demos for members and guests will be Oct 15!!:!
|Note that this year we have arranged to have more demonstrations open to members and guests whilst still keeping a good balance of workshops. It will be interesting to see if this format works. Your feedback would be appreciated.|
